This two-hour workshop supplements the LoveLegacyDignity introductory talk by interweaving 3 activities. The first from the” Love” component is relationship radar mapping –that we take stock of the emotional well-being (or otherwise) of our relationships. The second activity from the “Legacy” component is to introduce people to LLD’s “Check List for Checking Out” and encourage them to start compiling their “Purple File”. The third activity from the “Dignity” component is to review and discuss an Advance Directive and Health Care Proxy – to become clear about the personal specific choices you would prefer in the event of a medical emergency and also who you nominate to make those decisions if indeed you are not able to speak for yourself.
The purpose of the talk is for people to understand the scope of LoveLegacyDignity – that the discussions focus on we choose to live whilst being well-prepared for our inevitable deaths.
Moreover, that people leave having worked on three practical tools underpinning the message that Being Prepared is more than simply having a Last Will & Testament in place. One of the most valuable gifts you can offer to those you love is to be specific about your wishes, ensuring dignity for all concerned.
