Holding Space: Build Resilience & Navigate Grief

Online Workshop

One of the worst things about COVID-19 is that we don’t know what will happen next. We usually think of grief as associated with the loss of a person, but we face other losses in this pandemic. We are in a marathon, and we need to take greater care of ourselves and our emotional well-being. This 2-hour personal development workshop will introduce you to learnings and tools from grief research and counselling experience that you can use to support yourself and others.

BUILD RESILIENCE

  • Extreme Adversity: COVID-19 has intensified all of the challenges of our ‘normal’ crises and undermined our well-being.
  • Resilience by Design: Reviews the essential ingredients of maintaining physical and emotional well-being and provides tools to support you to plan your own programme.
  • Self-knowledge. Being able to lead and collaborate with others requires that we ourselves begin from a place of strength.

NAVIGATE GRIEF

  • Many different Losses. We take stock of how COVID-19 has brought more than loss of life. Grief is amplified and expanded though not only the loss of loved ones, but also loss of opportunities, of dreams, of freedom of movement and physical connectivity.
  • We share learning and tools from grief research and counselling experience that you can use to support yourself and others – especially at this time when restrictions have deprived us of in-person last words and rituals that gave us comfort.
